Phase 1: The Group Stage

           

The journey begins with 32 nations divided into 8 groups (A-H). This phase ensures every team plays at least three matches, creating a high-stakes environment where points are paramount.

           

               
• Points System: 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.

               
• Advancement: The top two teams from each group qualify for the knockout phase.

               
• Tie-breakers: If teams are tied on points, goal difference, goals scored, and head-to-head records determine who moves forward.

           

       

           

Phase 2: The Knockout Stage

           

Once the field is narrowed down to 16, the tournament enters a sudden-death format. From this point forward, there are no second chances.

            
           
            
           

If a match ends in a draw after 90 minutes, it proceeds to 30 minutes of extra time. If the deadlock remains, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out.
